About Us

Marvin Monk and Brooks Christensen have been selling big ticket equipment for a combined 85 years.  They are equally comfortable in plants and in engineering or contracting firms, and they cover a number of large OEM accounts.

Marvin is a graduate of Missouri School of Mines in Rolla, Missouri, and a former US Army Captain and aviator.  He once sold controls for Honeywell, then went to work for Reid Engineering, a well known rep firm.  Marvin worked at Reid Engineering for a year and a half, then bought the company to start Monk Engineering.  Marvin is a licensed engineer in Texas, and he has been a rep for 31 years (he's not sure if he could hold down a "real" job anymore).

Brooks finished his degree the hard way, by driving from stack to stack and calling on plant personnel. Brooks is one of the most driven, diligent and dedicated sales persons you will ever meet. Joking about having only a Tuesday, 10AM-to-2PM work week, Brooks brings good humor and personality to everything he does.

In a time of impersonal electronic communications and business done at arm's length, Marvin and Brooks bring a personal touch with a professional bearing to the sales game.

Take a look at our line list. Call some of our manufacturers if you wish. Contact us and we will give you the names of some of our customers. Or, better yet, call your own customers in Texas and see if they've heard of us. They probably have.

We own our offices in Humble, Texas, near George Bush Intercontinental Airport.
